PASSION - INSPIRATION - SKILL - CREATIVITY

This what we aim to provide to our members.

Suncoast Clayworkers was formed at the beginning of 2002 with the idea of bringing together like minded people, all of who have clay as their common denominator.

We have over 120 active members who regularly meet to exchange ideas. Membership is open to anyone with a passion for clay art in all its forms and with this in mind we would like to invite YOU to join us. Whether you be a beginner, professional or just interested, we have something to offer you.

You do not have to live on the Sunshine Coast or even in Queensland; we have members in most Australian states and some international members also.

Our members include potters, ceramics artists, sculptures, kiln builders, teachers, students, hobby ceramicists and specialists in public art.

“A major part of Walker Ceramics market has been in Queensland and in my many sales trips I found a dedication to the art of ceramics from both individuals and production potteries that was inspiring.

My enthusiasm for pottery and ceramics continues today with my patronage of Suncoast Clayworkers - an amazing group of dedicated potters/ceramists who continue to share and develop information to grow their group and increase the public perception of ceramics in the broader community. I am truly proud to be associated with this group.

I am looking forward to to spending some time with all the members in the future and absorbing their enthusiasm for ceramics. I am proud to be their Patron and look forward to a long relationship.

It is the group intent on sharing of ideas, styles, techniques and knowledge between all members of the group that gives the group it's strength and intensity. I do hope that there are many more events by Suncoast Clayworkers and other groups around Australia as it can only be good for ceramics and the arts society as a whole.”
