Each artist may submit up to THREE (3) works. A fee of $30.00 per item entered will apply.

Works may consist of pieces designed to be displayed as a group.

All entries must have fired surface except for sculptural works which must be 75% ceramic but may have a cold finish.

Works exceeding one metre in height or 30kgs in weight must be in constructed in sections or designed to be easily handled.

The Management Committee of Suncoast Clayworkers as the administrators of the Ignition Awards reserve the right to reject an entry if it is considered not to meet the stated criteria for entry. This decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such a decision.

The judge will be a ceramist of international renown.

The panel will consist of either the judge or independent non–members who will pre‐select the exhibition from the images submitted. The Ignition Awards participants will be chosen from the selected works sent to Suncoast Clayworkers.

The Open Award will win the Ignition Excellence Award of AUD $2000.

The Sculptural Award will win the Ignition Excellence Award of AUD $1000.

The 300 Gram Award will win the Ignition Excellence Award of AUD $1000.

The Suncoast Clayworkers Member Award, to a total value of AUD $1000 will also be made. Artists must hold current individual financial membership of Suncoast Clayworkers prior to June 1st 2018 to be eligible for this award.

The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any decision made by the judge.

All exhibited works must be for sale and a 10% commission including GST will be charged by Suncoast Clayworkers on works sold.

Entry is by photograph or digital image accompanied by entry form with entry fees and curriculum vitae. Send a maximum of three images of one work, or works to be displayed as one group taken from different angles. The image MUST be of the actual work that will be entered.

Images are to be of reproduction quality, clearly labelled with the artist's name and the title of the work. All images and curriculum vitae will be retained by Suncoast Clayworkers for archival record.

Entries can be emailed but images must be at least 300 dpi. Proof of payment of entry fees must accompany any email entries.

The management committee of Suncoast Clayworkers has the right to withdraw from the exhibition any work if it is considered to be significantly different from the work illustrated in the submitted image and if it is of a quality considered unsuitable for a judged competition and exhibition.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant and executed within the last 12 months prior to the date of entry.

Joint entries are permitted but all parties must be acknowledged on the entry form and all parties must sign the entry form. They will then be catalogued accordingly.

Freight to and from Suncoast Clayworkers and transit Insurance Is the responsibility of the entrant. Suncoast Clayworkers accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage that occurs to the work during transit. Suncoast Clayworkers will NOT insure any works whilst on display.

Work which arrives in a damaged condition is restored at the artist's expense and only with the permission of the artist.

Restoration is undertaken at the discretion of the organizers taking into account degree of damage and time constraints.

Restoration may invalidate the work from being for sale but not from the judging.

Entries close last post on June 30th. Successful exhibitors will be notified of delivery requirements by Monday August 8th.

Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Suncoast Clayworkers reserves the right to dispose of any uncollected works as it sees fit after three months from the close of the exhibition.

By completing the entry form and making the work available the entrant warrants that the work is the sole and unencumbered property of the entrant and that there is no inhibition or restriction upon the title passing to the purchaser in the event the work being sold.

To comply with Australian Taxation law, Australian residents' ABN must be quoted or if a hobbyist, an exemption form must be completed by the entrant.

Suncoast Clayworkers reserves the right to reproduce any works for archival, catalogue or publicity purposes. The signed entry form is evidence of the entrant's consent.
